As you will have seen from the Village News Alan Walpole is retiring as secretary of the Walberswick Local History Group, following many years in the post, and as there is now a total of three members retiring there is an appeal for new committee members. Places on the Committee will become vacant at the History Group’s AGM in April next year. The History Group, founded 26 years ago, is a thriving organisation with comprehensive Archives - a valuable village asset. It would be sad if it had to close for the lack of Committee Members.
Committee Members need not necessarily reside in Walberswick as long as they are prepared to come to Meetings (negotiated).
Even if you are not yet a Member, but are interested in joining you can find out about the group's activities, search archives, discover more about the history of Walberswick and even see the results of archeological digs on their dedicated pages here on this website.
