The Otter bridge, or Spong bridge as it is known to some of us, has been fully repaired and reopened. It now has a non-slip surface on the bridge itself, but be aware that the concrete steps on the village side of The Creek still lead down into mud, or at time of publishing this post - water! Whilst the new surface would not look out of place in a municipal car park and doesn't quite have the same weathered charm of wooden slats, it is bound to be safer and more durable. What the resident black headed gull makes of it, we shall no doubt find out over time...
