General update

EDF Energy’s submission to the Planning Inspectorate was accepted at the end of June and so enters the next phase of Planning process. The Green, Liberal Democrat and Independent (GLI) Group asked a Question of the Council Leader at the 22 July Full Council Meeting to request an additional Council Meeting to fully discuss the proposal and share the views of those we represent across the District. This was accepted and the date set for the debate is Thursday 3 September at 7pm. It is vital that local communities make their voice heard by sending their views about the Sizewell C proposal through their local District Councillor before this meeting. The meeting will be broadcast on the East Suffolk Council Youtube channel.
