The website received this note, and we should like to thank Greg and Hannah for helping to keep our beach clean.
We joined the Beach Clean after seeing the article in the Walberswick News, as we were staying nearby and visiting my aunt in the village. It was a bright and very breezy day (one might even call it windy) as 7 volunteers met in the car park though I believe others had already taken themselves off along the beach.
The wind was so strong that the litter collected in the black plastic bags had a tendency to blow out again.
We walked south along the beach and also picked litter from the other side of the dunes, down towards the marshes. We then cut across to the bridge over the river and came back through the campsite. There was very little litter to be found though some had collected in the bushes behind the beach huts and as the tide was in not much of an area to collect litter from.
The bags were put in the trailer that Natural England had attached to their truck.
