Riders and walkers we need you! 

Saturday September 10 marks the Annual Sponsored Ride and Stride organised by the Suffolk Historic Churches Trust (SHCT). St Andrews Church is calling out to cyclists, horse riders and walkers of all ages to participate and raise money to support our wonderful church building and work of the Trust throughout the county. 

Our area has many incredible and beautiful ancient churches, often tucked away in picturesque villages, just waiting to be discovered, so please encourage your friends and family, walking groups or stable mates to get together, pack a picnic and plan your route. 

Sponsorship forms are available in St Andrews Church porch or can be downloaded online. Or why not set up a JustGiving page to share more widely with friends for sponsorship. Please include St Andrews Church in the page or the funds will not come to the church! 

All the details are on shct/rideandstride or contact Stephanie Renouf on 07785 551193 to volunteer for an hour slot to greet and register riders and walkers in the church as they arrive on the day or for any inquiries. 

The event is run entirely by volunteers and is inter-denominational, with participants sponsored for each place of worship visited between 9.00am and 5.00pm on Ride and Stride Day or with a donation, regardless of the number of churches visited. 

Ride and Stride is the main source of income to Suffolk Historic Churches Trust to enable it to make grants to churches and chapels of all denominations towards repair and restoration costs.
