Walberswick Village Hall
Walberswick Village Hall was built in the late 1960s and has been a meeting place for celebrations from the cradle to the grave ever since. Interest groups as diverse as the history society, fitness classes, tai-chi, art classes, bridge, drama productions, a toddler group and many others meet on a regular basis. Most of these groups welcome members from outside the village. The Parish Council and the organising committees of various groups make full use of the annexe for their meetings.
The hall and the annex were in use for a total of 3,465 hours last year, 73% of which was for local use and 27% for outside hire.
The Village Hall was closed between 14th July and 10th August 2014 for major improvement works including refurbishing the toilets, replacing the outer doors, refitting the Doctors’ surgery and redecorating the annex entrance, meeting room and kitchen.
