A Love of Walberswick - Part I
My Father left in thirty-nine
It was not his choice to go
Back again in forty-five
A different person though
He tried and tried but could not stay
Love called, he had to leave
Left his bike at Darsham station
His madness to relieve
He brought me here in fifty-one
He brought his wife as well
They wet my head at the church
I prefer The Anchor or The Bell
Every year we would come to stay
A Caravan or at Beach View
Bob, Ada and then Owen died
And in time my Father too
My parents gave me all they could
Nature, nurture and some luck
A benchmark on how to live
And a love of Walberswick
